every interaction is a learning opportunity

You’ve certainly had an interaction with someone that was remarkably pleasant, interesting, or endearing.

You’ve also certainly had an interaction with someone that really rubbed you the wrong way, made you feel sad, or downright pissed you off.

And then there are interactions that weren’t bad, but they certainly didn’t go the way you anticipated. Maybe that was a good thing, or maybe it made you uncomfortable.

Each of these interactions can be used to inform and guide future interactions. What did that person do (maybe intentionally, maybe unintentionally) that really pissed you off? What was that small gesture or phrase someone used that made you smile or disarmed you? And why exactly did that interaction make you feel kind of uncomfortable?

If you can identify it, you can incorporate it or avoid it. And interactions are the basis of all relationships.
