How do you like that clickbait?

On March 27, I decided I was going to take on a 30 day challenge to give up drinking. Shortly thereafter, on April 5, I realized I had just completed another 30 day challenge: I had written every day for the previous 30 days.

In my excitement to share this milestone, I saw an excellent opportunity to challenge you all to join me in a 30 day challenge of your own. I whipped up a Google spreadsheet and 18 of you joined me in setting your own 30 day (ok, 26 day) challenge for the month of April.

We all had our struggles to different degrees (with the exception of the very inspiring Jenni), but participants were able to stick to their goals the majority of the time.

Personally, my decision to cut out drinking led to nearly 10 lbs of weight lost, many recovered hours per week, and hundreds of dollars in savings. I can sincerely say that my alcohol consumption will be substantially lower for the rest of my life.

You don’t have to take my word for it. I asked participants to rate their experience, and you can see see the full results here.

Our next 30 day challenge kicks off today. Do you want to make a lifestyle or behavior change? Join the collective.
