A surefire way to miss a learning opportunity is believing that there isn’t one present.

Categorizing events, meetings, or conversations as tasks or just blocks on your calendar will blind you to the potential for learning each of these activities hold. Conversations can easily pass by or even become arguments when we implicitly believe we already have the facts, beliefs, opinions, or stances we need.

But any opportunity can be a learning opportunity. Any event can yield new information and any conversation can give insight into a different perspective. You may learn about a specific person, an organization, an or an industry.

Learning opportunities are in every moment and every interaction. If you’re not open to learning, you’ll miss them.
