For the last twelve weeks, I’ve actively worked to become more secure with my identity and what’s important to me.
I’ve made radical progress. Honestly; it’s been incredible. But, I would be lying if I said I wasn’t still insecure, self conscious, or seeking reassurance.
At those times, all I want is genuine support. A listening ear, an acknowledgement that my situation or approach is valid, and the support of my friends or family.
Outside of immoral or illegal behavior, support is such an easy gift to give.
“I’m with you.”
“I understand what you’re going through.”
“I think you’re thinking about this the right way.”
“I’d be happy to talk through this with you.”
Support is free to give, and it’s incredibly powerful.
