One of my least favorite things in this entire world is moving. Since attending the Ohio State University, I’ve moved five times around Columbus, Ohio.
A close second to moving is my disdain for apartment hunting.
In 2014, I was apartment hunting when I was given the opportunity to move into a 7-person home with a group of 5 strangers. I only really knew one of the individuals. And I decided to jump at that opportunity (thanks, Joey!).
I moved in with a group of guys ranging from ages 22-32 with very diverse backgrounds including music, entrepreneurship, steel working, management consulting, and security. In a very short period of time, we became extremely close friends.
But even then I didn’t realize how valuable that diversity was to me.
Over the next two years, I was constantly surrounded by individuals who were all working tirelessly on their own independent projects. Being in this environment pushed me and my business to achieve more as I was constantly inspired, supported, and given feedback. Then in 2015, I sold that business.
I realized that so much of my personal and professional growth was a direct result of surrounding myself with incredible individuals who were working hard on their own personal and professional development. At the same time, I was able to grow my own personal network exponentially.
Even in one city, it’s amazing how quickly you can meet new, incredible people when you tap into the network and experience of a diverse group of people.
The progress I was able to make once I started regularly spending my time with amazing people was unreal. I want to share that experience with you.
This is the core of Unreal Collective.
And I’m so pumped to say that I’m ready for you to join me.
Unreal Collective creates micro-communities to accelerate your growth. It is designed for individuals who are committed to accelerating their own growth – the growth of themselves and their projects. We are looking for folks who are driven and ambitious, but also generous and empathetic – regardless of your project or experience.
I’ll be sharing more this week about the lessons I’ve learned over the past two years that I’ve baked into Unreal Collective to help you get from where you are now to where you want to be.
I’d love for you to join us. Get a head start by visiting the website and watching the video below.
